October trading volume in SPIMEX gas rose to 1.63 billion cubic meters


According to the exchange, the growth in trade volumes have occurred at the balance point “COP Nadym”, which sold 1.36 billion cubic meters of gas. Only in October was signed the Treaty against 162 136 in September.

MOSCOW, 23 Oct. The growing volume of natural gas at the St. Petersburg international Mercantile exchange (SPIMEX) continues to accelerate, the volume of trading for delivery in November on 23 October increased compared with the previous results, the September trading session by 25% to 1,634 billion cubic meters, is spoken in the message exchange.

Trading volume in monetary terms in October also increased by nearly a quarter to 4,462 billion. Only in October was signed the Treaty against 162 136 in September.

The growth in trade volumes have occurred at the balance point “COP Nadym”, which sold 1.36 billion cubic meters of gas. 136 it was concluded exchange agreements. Weighted average price equaled 2717 rubles per thousand cubic meters, unchanged from the previous auction.

For carrying other items while there was a decrease of gas volumes sold. So, on balance the “COP Vyngapurovskaya” was implemented 161,2 million cubic meters of gas (compared to 182 million cubic meters a month earlier), was signed 13 exchange agreements with weighted average price of 2697 roubles per thousand cubic meters (from September 1 ruble). On “COP, South Balyk” were sold 109,9 million cubic meters of gas. The market value amounted to 2948 rubles per thousand cubic meters (an increase from the previous session on 19 roubles).

The first exchange trading with natural gas took place on 24 October last year at SPIMEX in Moscow. Following the session, trading volume was 21 million cubic meters, according to the results of the second session in late November — 198,4 million cubic meters.

Currently, the exchange trades of gas is performed once a month for the month ahead. Trading on day-ahead SPIMEX expects to begin October 26.
