MOSCOW, 24 Oct. The Ministry of economic development predicts that by 2018, the stabilization of gas demand in Russia at the level 459,3 billion cubic meters and exports are set to grow to 184 billion cubic meters, according to the final forecast of socio-economic development, submitted to the Duma together with the budget in 2016.
“The projected growth in gas production (up to 655 billion cubic meters in 2018) will be more active exploitation of deposits of “Gazprom”, as well as increased production by independent gas producers in terms of their non-discriminatory access to the Unified gas transportation system… By 2018 LNG exports will increase to 16 million tonnes due to the commissioning of the first phase of the project “Yamal LNG” in 2017″, — stated in the document.
Investment in gas production and gas condensate in 2016-2018 year, the Ministry forecasts the level of more than 813 billion rubles. “An important role in the growth of investment in gas production will have a capital investment in the development of the Yuzhno-Tambeyskoye field (NOVATEK),” adds the Ministry.
Investments in gas transport in 2016-2018 estimated at 1.6 trillion rubles, while promising project in the main gas pipeline is specified the project of “Gazprom” Power of Siberia.
“Prospects of gas production are associated with the transition to more unconventional and located in more difficult geological conditions of the Deposit. In conditions of tightening competition in the gas market promising direction for Russian gas will be the Asia-Pacific market, including the development of LNG projects”, — reports the Agency.
