Moscow. October 23. The Minister of economic development Alexei Ulyukayev expects a marginal growth in consumer demand in Russia in 2016.
“We believe that next year we will still be small, but the growth of retail turnover, growth of consumer demand,” he said, speaking at the “Gaidar readings”.
According to him, the growth of inventories of companies reflects the expectations of the entrepreneurs regarding the growth in consumer demand next year.
As reported in the baseline forecast of the Ministry of economic development retail trade turnover in 2015 could fall by about 8.5%, and in 2016 the Ministry has forecast a trade growth of 0.4% with growth accelerating to 2.1% in 2017 and 2.3% in 2018.
