The state Duma ratified an agreement with Belarus on exchange of data on travel ban


Exchange of information will be implemented in order to prevent the departure to the third States of citizens of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus, subject to restrictions on travel, stated in the explanatory Memorandum.

MOSCOW, 23 Oct. The state Duma ratified the agreement with Belarus on exchange of information about citizens, subject to restrictions on travel.

The Russians may be faced with a ban on leaving the country, for example, if you do not pay my debts. However, in many such cases, traveled abroad through Belarus, because the citizens of both countries can freely cross the internal border, the Belarusian border guards at the Russian debts are not stopped, not having relevant data.

“The exchange of information will be implemented in order to prevent the departure to the third States of citizens of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus, subject to restrictions on travel, and prevent threats to national and public security in States parties to the Treaty on establishing the Union state of 8 December 1999”, — stated in the explanatory Memorandum.

The agreement was signed on 3 March. In just 15 years since the signing of the Treaty establishing the Union state was concluded more than 150 agreements that govern all key aspects of Russian-Belarusian relations.
