Foreign Ministry: Russia and Iran have agreed on cooperation to ensure stability in the middle East


MOSCOW, October 24. The Minister of foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov and his Iranian counterpart Javad Zarif in a telephone conversation have agreed on further strengthening of cooperation between Russia and Iran to ensure stability in the middle East. This was reported in the Russian foreign Ministry.

“Lavrov informed the Iranian interlocutors about the previous day’s meeting in Vienna with U.S. Secretary of state and the foreign Ministers of Saudi Arabia and Turkey, dedicated to the resolution of the Syrian crisis, – said the Ministry. – Emphasized the need for greater coordination of international efforts for an early normalization of the situation in Syria, including by connecting to an external supporting inter-Syrian political process of countries such as Iran and Egypt.”

“The Ministers agreed on further strengthening of cooperation between Russia and Iran in the interests of ensuring stability and security in the Middle East region,” he said in depodesta.
