The organizers of the rally in support of “Transaero” has increased the number of participants to 300


MOSCOW, October 25. The organizers of the rally against the cancellation of the certificate of the operator “Transaero” has addressed in Prefecture of the Central administrative DISTRICT of the capital with the request to increase the permitted number of participants from 100 to 300 people. The event will be held on 1 November in the center of Moscow. The text of the letter available.

The organizers also propose to change the venue of the rally – not in front of the Ministry of transport of the Russian Federation Rozhdestvenka street, as previously proposed, and Yauza gate at the monument “border Guards of the Fatherland”. “The change of place caused by oral proposal of the employee of the mayoralty of Moscow, with which we agree,” – said the representative of one of the organizers of the rally.

“In connection with change of a place of meeting we ask you to consider increasing the number of participants to 300 people”, – said the organizer.

An initiative group including from the staff of “Transaero”, 22 October submitted to the municipality bid for the 1 November in the capital rally against the cancellation of the certificate of the operator, for the preservation of the airline and its improvement with the arrival of a new shareholder – co-owner of S7 airlines Vladislav Fileva. This was reported by one of the organizers, the author of the online petition in support of “Transaero”, which was signed by more than 146 thousand people, Svetlana Borodina.

The bankruptcy of the company

The decision on bankruptcy “Transaero”, the accumulated 250 billion debt and under the operational management of “Aeroflot” was adopted at the governmental meeting with the participation of Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev on October 1.

The carrier has closed the sale of tickets. Airline tickets (round-trip) for transportation originating before December 15, and ending after 15 December will be cancelled. Air operator certificate “Transaero” will be revoked on October 26.

Previously to the publication RBK reported that the group shareholder of S7 airlines Vladislav Filev has acquired not less than 51% of actions “Transaero” Alexander Pleshakov, who is the largest shareholder of the airline. The amount of the transaction, the participants did not disclose, however, noted that it “significantly more than one rouble” and satisfy all parties involved.

According to Fileva, from shareholders “Transaero” has a plan of settlement with creditors of the airline. He also noted that new shareholders will try to avoid bankruptcy of the airline.
