MOSCOW, October 26. The airline “Aeroflot” working to resolve the situation which has arisen in the far East in connection with the withdrawal of Transaero aircraft operator’s certificate. It is planned to increase the number of flights and put more aircraft on these routes from Moscow, said the official representative of Rosaviation Sergey Izvolsky, the radio station “Kommersant FM”.
“Now in “Aeroflot” are working to increase the frequency to put additional aircraft on these destinations to the far East,” he said.
According to Izvolsky, the final decision will be made by the representatives of “Aeroflot” on Monday in the afternoon.
As previously reported, the residents of Sakhalin and Kuril Islands in connection with the situation with Transaero airlines can not fly to Moscow: economy class tickets of no, and the cost of tickets business class reaches 140 thousand rubles.
Deputy Minister of transport and road economy of the Sakhalin region of Sahabas Davudov said that on line Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk – Moscow – Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk last year at this time was 11 flights per week, seven of them were carried out by “Aeroflot”, four – “Transaero”. According to him, every week in one direction were transported 2.5 thousand people. Now in this direction are carried out seven flights, which transported 1.8 thousand people.
The regional Ministry appealed to the “Aeroflot” with a request either to increase the number of flights on the route Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk – Moscow – Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk or to put on the flight, the aircraft have more capacity.
Termination of the activity
The airline ceased operations. Her work is stopped under the decision of Federal air transport Agency of the Russian Ministry of transport on cancellation of the certificate of the operator 26 of October 2015.
Aeroflot, under the operational control of which was the carrier, and possibly other airlines will continue to transport passengers “Transaero” till December 15. Aeroflot will also provide a refund for paid tickets with the departure date after December 15.
“At the moment of 1,925 million sold “Transaero” tickets issued on / before 15 December 2015, under operational control of “Aeroflot” transported 1,825 million people, representing 95% of the total number of tickets. Before December 15, left 241 to carry 100 passengers with booked tickets on the flights of “Transaero”, – have informed in a press-service “Aeroflot”.
