MOSCOW, 26 Jan. Russia has a communication channel with the Taliban to transmit information, when Moscow needed, said the special envoy of the Russian President on Afghanistan, Director, Second Asia Department of the Russian foreign Ministry Zamir Kabulov.
Earlier on Monday, the American edition of Daily Beast reported, citing an unnamed representative of the military leadership of the Taliban that the Taliban does not exclude the possibility of cooperation with the Russian Federation “depending on the development scenario in the middle East”, given the current actions of the USA and the threat posed by “Islamic state”.
“We have a communication channel with the Taliban when we want something to send to them and what is the “daily beiste” in mind, I don’t know… the communication Channel there is,” said Kabulov.
While the diplomat did not disclose any details.
