MOSCOW, October 26. The Federation Council plans to consider the law on the budget for next year at the plenary meeting on 16 December. This was announced Monday at a meeting of the Federation Council Committee on budget and financial markets by its Chairman Sergey Ryabukhin.
“On schedule, we must on December 16 at the plenary session of the Federation Council to accept the budget act of 2016”, – he said.
At today’s meeting of the budget Committee the senators recommended that the house approve the law “On amendments to certain legislative acts of the Russian Federation in connection with the Federal law “On Federal budget for 2016,” which, according to first Deputy Chairman of the Committee Vladimir Petrov, will provide a more realistic and better document to secure the performance of some of its expenditure items.
The project core budget for 2016 was submitted to the state Duma on 23 October. According to the document, budget revenues next year will amount to 16 trillion 098,7 billion rubles, expenses – 13 trillion 738,5 billion rubles, the deficit – $ 2 trillion 360.2 billion rubles, or 3% of GDP. In the upper house of the budget law will arrive after the adoption by the state Duma in the third reading. On October 27, the Federation Council under the chairmanship of the speaker Valentina Matvienko will hold parliamentary hearings on the budget in 2016 with participation of the Minister of Finance Anton Siluanov and audit chamber head Tatyana Golikova.
