The Board of Directors of Rostelecom approved the contract with the Moscow metro on surveillance


MOSCOW, October 26. The Board of Directors of Rostelecom approved the contract with the state unitary enterprise “Moscow metro” for the construction and installation and commissioning of works on creation of “System for intelligent video surveillance of categorized objects of the Moscow underground”. As stated in the official documents of the operator, the first step in creating such a system should be implemented for a period of not more than 330 days.

The initial price of the contract is 3.7 billion rubles.

The Moscow metro on October 22, made a second attempt to hold a tender to create an intelligent video surveillance system at the stations and in the lobbies. The results of the first bidding, the winner of which was recognized as the “CRT Service”, cancelled in March of 2015 at the request of the Federal Antimonopoly service. The Antimonopoly office stated that project documentation was not published in full.

According to the information portal of public procurement, the application will be submitted before November 9, the results will be announced on November 19.

The winner of the competition would need to ensure the security control of passengers, including using auto-commit persons with the possibility of biometric identification.

Earlier “Kommersant” reported about intention “Rostelecom” to take in the contest, which requires the decision of the Board of Directors.
