The dollar at the opening of trading of the Moscow exchange fell by 17 kopecks to the ruble 62,21


MOSCOW, October 26. The dollar against the ruble on the Moscow stock exchange at the opening of trading on Monday declined compared to closing level of previous trading day by 17 kopecks to the ruble 62,21.

The MICEX index at the opening of trading on Monday rose by 0.2% to 1728,09 item.

“The exchange rate is stable”

The ruble will not be as stable as it was before November 2014, said Friday the state Duma first Deputy Chairman of Bank of Russia Dmitry Tulin.

“The ruble will not be as stable as it was before November 2014 it will be volatile. But this volatility, which was in December-January, there will not be,” he said.

The fall of the ruble began in the second half of 2014, while from June to December, the Russian currency has fallen against the dollar by 2.2 times. However, since the beginning of February of 2015, the ruble reversed in the direction of growth and by may had risen against the dollar by 30%. In may the dollar several times fell below 49 rubles, however then the American currency has returned to increase. From mid-may the dollar exchange rate increased from 49 rubles to 62 rubles.
