MOSCOW, 26 Jan. The Governor of Leningrad region Alexander Drozdenko became the owner of a special prize competition of mass-media of the North-West “Sezam-2015” in the nomination “For openness to the press and society”, the press service of the regional government.
Special prize in the framework of the XIII media Forum gave the Governor the Chairman of the Union of journalists of St. Petersburg and Leningrad region Lyudmila Fomicheva. As one of the success factors Drozdenko she noted its openness to the media.
“Thanks for the high praise and unexpected rewards. It is a merit of journalists of the Leningrad region, St. Petersburg and North-West. Thank you for your support, honesty, candor and criticism,” he said at the awards ceremony in the House of radio, St. Petersburg Governor.
In turn, Drozdenko was awarded the prize for an objective view and dedication to the profession the editor of the newspaper “Kommersant-St. Petersburg” by Andrey Ershov.
“We always feel more confident if “Kommersant” publishes its judgments, opinions, stance on events in Leningrad region. Lately we often see news 47-th region on the pages of Kommersant, and this means that the area lives, area interesting,” said the Governor.
Media competition of the North-West “Sezam” (North-West Media) is organized by the media Association of the Northwest (NW ASMI) with the participation of the League of journalists of St. Petersburg and the Union of journalists of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region. The competition was attended by 364 submissions, competed in three blocks of categories: types of media (for Newspapers and magazines, television, radio broadcasting, news agencies, online media, photojournalism), thematic nominations, special prizes. Leaders by quantity of the medals went to Saint-Petersburg, Vologda, Arkhangelsk and Pskov regions.
