AEB: European companies need to increase the level of localization in Russia


According to Chairman of the AEB Board, devaluation of the ruble “provides new opportunities”. He believes that European companies, in particular manufacturers must produce cheaper and increase the localization percentage.

MOSCOW, 27 Jan. Chairman of the Board of the European business Association Philip Pegorye believes that in the conditions of devaluation of the ruble, European companies, particularly car manufacturers, is to increase the level of localization in Russia.

According to him, the devaluation of the ruble “provides new opportunities”.

“We have to produce cheaper; more, maybe, to increase the localization percentage “, — he told journalists, answering the question of how the devaluation of the ruble will affect the demand of cars from Europe.
