Intervention will resume after October 24, when comes into force the order to change the prices stated in the Ministry of agriculture. From September 15 purchasing interventions of grain on NTBs was held on Tuesdays.
MOSCOW, 26 Jan. State purchase interventions in respect of grain harvest in 2015 at the National commodity exchange (NTB) this week will be held twice — on Tuesday and Wednesday, the information on the website of NTBs.
The Ministry of agriculture of the Russian Federation on August 19, launched the state interventions of grain harvest in 2015, but before 15 September, they were only on the Crimean stock exchange. Grain trading on NTBs was launched on 20 August, but the deal that day did not occur. From September 15 purchasing interventions of grain on NTBs was held on Tuesdays.
To date, NTBs were trading at four times, most recently on 6 October. After that the auction was not held, due to the preparation and entry into force of the order of the Ministry of agriculture of the Russian Federation about increase of the limit levels of minimum prices for grain interventions.
The Ministry of agriculture stated that it would resume intervention after 24 October, when the comes into force the order on price changes. Last week NTBs has announced the schedule of trading for the current week according to which intervention had to go through 27 October. However, on Monday, the exchange added another shopping day — Wednesday, October 28.
Crimean stock exchange has not yet published the auction schedule for this week. “Trading on the exchange may be held tentatively on 29 October”, — stated in the message on the website trading platform. The last time the Crimean trading on the stock exchange took place on 10 September.
By the end of 2015, the agriculture Ministry plans to purchase in intervention Fund to 2 million tons of grain. From August 19, on the Crimean stock exchange was purchased 30,115 thousand tons of grain to 267,517 million rubles, NTB — 32,67 thousands of tons 278,856 million rubles. The total volume of grain from the intervention Fund as at 22 October was $ 1,858 million tons worth 12,877 billion.
