Putin believes in expanding cooperation with Turkmenistan


The head of Russia Vladimir Putin sent a congratulatory telegram to a colleague from Turkmenistan on the occasion of independence Day, which commended the strategic partnership between the two countries.

MOSCOW, 27 Jan. The President of Russia Vladimir Putin congratulated President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on independence Day of the country and expressed confidence in expansion of bilateral cooperation, said the press service of the Kremlin.

“In a congratulatory telegram the Russian President highly assessed the active development of Russian-Turkmen relations in the spirit of strategic partnership and expressed confidence in further expansion of bilateral cooperation in all directions”, — stated in the message.

Putin also noted the need for cooperation in regional and international Affairs in the interests of the peoples of the two countries, in line with the strengthening of stability and security in Central Asia.
