MOSCOW, October 27. The senators did not discuss the extension Patriotic “stop-list” of foreign NGOs, whose activities are undesirable in the territory of the Russian Federation. This was stated on Tuesday Corr. the participants of the closed joint meeting of the committees of the Federation Council on international Affairs and on constitutional legislation and state construction.

“The extension list has not discussed”, – said Deputy Chairman of the Committee on international Affairs Andrei Klimau. “Wait until December until we will work on the fact that the intended”, – said the member of the same Committee Olga Timofeeva.

Earlier Tuesday, the newspaper “Izvestia” reported that the committees of the Federation Council on international Affairs and on constitutional legislation and state construction closed from the media with the participation of representatives of the Ministry of justice and attorney General will debate on Tuesday a “stop-list” of foreign NGOs, whose activities are unwanted in Russia. According to the publication, the list will be complemented by several new organizations, including in SF would like to see “Open Russia” and banned in the Russian terrorist organization “Islamic state”.

Patriotic stop-list

At the beginning of July 2015, the Council of the Federation was included in the Patriotic stop-list – a list of foreign NGOs, whose activities, according to the senators, poses a threat to the national security of Russia – 12 organizations: the Soros Foundation, national endowment for democracy, international Republican Institute, national democratic Institute for international Affairs, the MacArthur Foundation, Freedom House, Foundation Charles Stewart Mott Foundation, the Foundation “Education for democracy”, East European democratic centre, the Ukrainian world Congress, Ukrainian world coordinating Council, the Crimean field mission on human rights.

According to the Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on international Affairs Konstantin Kosachev, the list should be a recommendation for inclusion in the list of undesirable organizations. The Senator also said that the Federation Council will continue to work in this direction.
