To completely abandon the regulation of innovative technologies and the Internet States cannot, however, intervention in these areas should not lead to a negative result, said Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.
MOSCOW, 28 Oct. States cannot abandon regulation of innovation and the Internet, but that the intervention must be fair and reasonable, said Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.
“In my opinion, here you need to adhere to the principle of reasonable sufficiency. States cannot abandon regulation of innovation and the management of intellectual property, the regulation of a number of processes that go on the Internet. But these decisions, this intervention should be correct and not lead to the opposite result”, — said Medvedev at the forum “Open innovations”.
He expressed the view that even in circumstances when the use of technology there are those or other problems, “nevertheless, state intervention and the decisions that are made at the level of governments, should be reasonable”.
“Ultimately, when talking about the use of new technologies, we are well aware that there are thousands of ways to get around these or those state decisions. And exactly why decisions must be reasonable, adequate, and effective”, — said the Prime Minister.
