MP: don’t “mindlessly merge” the Rosselkhoznadzor and the Rospotrebnadzor


Combine agencies when one inspects the quality of agricultural products from the field to the consumer, said Deputy Chairman of Committee of state Duma Nadezhda Shkolkina. She noted that we should not forget about the protection of the rights of citizens in other areas.

MOSCOW, 28 Oct. Deputy Chairman of state Duma Committee on agrarian issues Hope Shkolkina (“United Russia”) believes that it should not be thoughtlessly to merge two departments — the CPS and the Rosselkhoznadzor.

“I believe that we blindly merge the two offices should not be. It’s one thing when one inspects the quality of agricultural products from field to consumer, Yes, perhaps now there is a gap in the chain, but we should not forget about the protection of the rights of citizens in other areas of tourism, banking and so on,” said Shkolkina journalists.

Previously assistant head of the Rosselkhoznadzor Alexei Alekseenko on the sidelines of the International grain trading conference in Egypt, told reporters that the “decision in principle on the merger of services”. However, he noted that details still being worked out, and the process may take at least a year.

The Minister for open government Mikhail Abyzov has denied allegations that the decision to combine the Rosselkhoznadzor and Rospotrebnadzor. The Rosselkhoznadzor after Abyzov also denied the information about the merger of services, stating that “the decision to establish such a service, its structure and functions by the government of the Russian Federation was not accepted”.
