Russian MPs will go as observers to the parliamentary elections in Syria


MOSCOW, October 28. Russian MPs will go as observers to the parliamentary elections in Syria, told journalists the Chairman of the state Duma Committee on property Sergey Gavrilov.

“Russian observers will definitely go to the polls. We were official observers at the presidential elections, will be official observers at the elections to the Syrian Parliament”, he said, adding that talks about the deputies of the state Duma.

The politician noted that the date of the election is not yet known. “In principle, they should be held in may (2016), but can pass before,” he explained. Gavrilov did not rule out that for correction of the date of the parliamentary elections in Syria can be changed electoral legislation.
