Teksler: Russia will create turbines up to 200 MW

Russia has the experience of manufacturing and operation of the turbine 110 MW of production “Saturn” license turbine and a 160 MW, reminded the first Deputy Minister of energy of the Russian Federation Alexey Teksler. However, turbines with a capacity of 180-200 MW while purchased abroad.

MOSCOW, 27 Jan. In Russia will begin the development of gas turbines for power plants with a capacity of 180-200 MW, said in an interview with first Deputy Minister of energy of the Russian Federation Alexey Teksler.

“We plan to start the development of gas turbines of average capacity 180-200 MW, taking into account the available experience of manufacture and operation of the turbine 110 MW of production “Saturn” (the structure of “Rosteh” — ed.) and licensing of turbines with a capacity of 160 MW, with the creation of conditions and possibilities for production of components (vanes, the “hot path”) of gas turbines in modern enterprises located in the territory of the Russian Federation,” said Teksler.

Turbines of such capacity in Russia is now produced and fully purchased abroad. On the basis of Russian developments produced turbines of small capacity.
