Single voting day in Russia and state Duma elections will now be held on the third Sunday of September of that year in which expire the terms of office of these bodies or deputies of these bodies.
MOSCOW, 28 Oct. The Federation Council approved the law, combining a single day of voting in Russia since the Duma election.
The law allows you to combine the polling day at the next elections of deputies of the state Duma with the voting day at elections to bodies of state power of subjects of the Russian Federation, bodies of local self-government, that is, on the single voting day, which is the third Sunday of September of the year in which expire the terms of office of these bodies or deputies of these bodies.
The law comes into force after its official publication and applies to legal relations arising in connection with the elections, appointed after the date of its entry into force.
In the spring session of the Federation Council approved the law on the postponement of the parliamentary elections from December to September 2016.
