Gas injection in UGS started on April 11. On April 10, in Ukrainian underground storage facilities remained 7,609 billion cubic meters, while as of 28 October, is already stored 17,059 billion cub. m. Thus, Ukraine has pumped into its underground storage facilities from April 11 to 9.45 billion cubic meters of gas.

From 12 October, when Ukraine has resumed the supply of Russian gas, which were discontinued on July 1, was injected into UGS 1,256 billion cubic meters of gas.

As previously reported, to the successful passage of the autumn-winter period and ensure the transit of Russian gas to Europe in winter, Ukraine needs to have a capacity of at least 19 billion cubic meters of gas. At the beginning of the previous heating season, in gas storages of Ukraine was 16.7 billion cubic meters of Ukraine began selection of gas from underground storage facilities on October 20 2014

Gas reserves in underground storages of Ukraine provide stable supplies of Russian gas in the required volumes to Europe: increase of gas extraction in the East is compensated by the use of gas from underground storage facilities in the West.
