Moscow. October 29. X5 Retail Group has signed an agreement with “the Euronetwork” about the opening of the compact centers of payments in shops “Pyaterochka”, the company said.
The partnership envisages the opening of 150 centres up to the end of 2015. 40 of them will be located in the supermarkets of Moscow and Moscow region, 20 – in St. Petersburg, the rest will be placed in other regions.
The salons of “Euroset” square up to 10 square metres, will be located in the checkout area of stores. The agreement provides for the placement of outlets at a flat rate of rent, depending on the area of the cabin and the region.
The key services payment store – sale of sim cards, money transfers, payment of utility bills, television, Internet, loan payments, air, railway and bus tickets. The device at these points will not be sold, but can be in some stores top models of smartphones and accessories. Also in payment centers will be possible to order a delivery of goods from online catalog “Euroset”.
The presence of “Euroset” in “Fives” will provide retail mobile wide distribution network in the target audience, as well as give the ability to scale business proportion to the growth of the network, the report says. X5 as a result, expects to increase consumer traffic.
Such cooperation is part of the strategy of the “five” development partnerships in the segment of additional services, which, in addition to mobile phone stores include pharmacies, enterprises of consumer services, shops, children’s goods, the culinary Department and others. “The main purpose of partnerships in the field of sublease – the formation of an integrated supply of goods and services demanded in specific location”, – reported X5.
In October, the X5 has also entered into an annual agreement with mobile operator Tele2 on the opening of points of sales in the Pyaterochka stores in the Moscow region.
For “Euronetwork” “built-in” payments centre – this is a pilot project, if it will be “interesting, profitable and promising,” next year, the retailer may open up to thousands of salons in this format with various partners.
“Roundabout” is a part of X5 Retail group, the main owner of which is LetterOne Mikhail Fridman and partners. LetterOne also owns the majority share in Vimpelcom Ltd., PJSC which owns the Russian “VimpelCom”. Last on a parity basis with MegaFon owns “the Euronetwork”.
X5 second largest Russian retailer by sales volume after “Magnet”. On September 30, network X5 United 6 thousand 512 stores, including 5 thousand 795 discounters “Pyaterochka”, 451 “Perekrestok” supermarket, 84 hypermarket “Carousel” and 182 store “At home.”
“Euroset” – Russia’s largest multi-brand mobile retailer, the company has more than 4,5 thousand salons in Russia and Belarus.
