International reserves of the Russian Federation from 16 to 23 October, decreased by 0.7%


Thus, the reserves of Russia decreased by 2.7 billion dollars under the influence of negative exchange rate revaluation and amounted to $ 374,6 billion dollars, has informed Bank of Russia.

MOSCOW, 29 Oct. International reserves of RF as of 23 October was 374,6 billion dollars against 377,3 billion dollars on 16 October, according to the Bank of Russia.

Thus, international reserves for the week decreased by 2.7 billion dollars, or 0.7%.

“International reserves for the week from 16 to 23 October, decreased by 2.7 billion dollars, or 0.7%, mainly under the impact of negative exchange rate revaluation”, — said in comments the Central Bank.

International reserves representing highly liquid foreign assets available to the Bank of Russia and the government of the Russian Federation, consist of means in foreign currency, special drawing rights (SDRs), reserve position in IMF and monetary gold.

By the end of 2014 the international reserves of the Russian Federation has decreased in 1,3 times — to 385,46 billion.
