KALININGRAD, October 29. In the Kaliningrad region opened a criminal case on the fact of fraud by subcontractors during the construction of the Baltic NPP. Damage is estimated at 10 million rubles, reported on Thursday a source in law enforcement bodies of the region.
“Criminal case on signs of structure of the crime provided by part 4 of article 159 of the Russian criminal code (fraud in especially large size)”, – said the Agency interlocutor.
According to preliminary data, the subcontractor has provided contractor and the customer false information about the quantity and quality of works during the construction, necessary for further construction of nuclear power plants. He was paid 10 million rubles the name of the organization, which is suspected of fraud, has not been disclosed.
Baltic NPP consisting of two power units will be housed in 120 km from Kaliningrad and 60 km from the coast of the Curonian lagoon. The NPP project implies construction of two power units with vodo-water power of the rector not less than capacity of 1170 MW each.
The estimated cost of the project over 194 billion rubles. in prices in the first quarter of 2009. Laying of the memorial stone on the site of the future station was held on 25 February 2010. Commissioning of the first unit was planned for 2016, the second – for 2018.
