MOSCOW, 29 Oct. Net loss the French airline Air France-KLM for the first nine months of 2015 decreased by 70% compared with the same period of 2014 and amounted to 158 million Euro, follows from the statements of the carrier.

Diluted loss per share amounted to 0.53 Euro vs. 1.8 euros a year earlier. Revenue grew by 5.4%, reaching billion euros 19,713. Passenger volume rose 3.3 percent to 68.5 million.

In the third quarter the company’s net income has increased 5.5 times and reached 480 million Euro. Diluted earnings per share rose to 1.32 euros to 0.24 euros in the reporting period a year earlier. Revenue Air France-KLM for the third quarter amounted to $ 7,415 billion euros, which is 10.8% higher than a year ago.

Passenger traffic for the third quarter increased by 7.4% to 25,897 million people.

The company plans by the end of 2015 to reduce the debt by almost € 1 billion compared with 2014, to 4.4 billion euros.

Air France was formed on 7 October 1933. It is based at the international airport Charles de Gaulle.
