The Duma opposition is strongly against the appointment of Serdyukov to the post of

MOSCOW, October 30. The opposition faction in the state Duma categorically oppose the appointment of ex – defense Minister Anatoly Serdyukov to the position of industrial Director of aviation cluster of the state Corporation “rostec”.

“The appointment to such high office, where a stream of huge amount of public money is inexcusable,” – said the Deputy Chairman of the CPRF Central Committee Valery Rashkin, commenting on the new promotion Serdyukov.

“We will be the appropriate parliamentary inquiries to the Prosecutor General, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and Russian President Vladimir Putin to send”, – added the Communist, stressing that in the letter the head of state “will seek review of this decision about the appointment of Serdyukov to the new post/”.

In turn, first Deputy head of the faction “Fair Russia” Mikhail Emelyanov called a personnel decision “by assigning a negative”. “Serdyukov nothing to do with aviation never had and in this industry a little that understands. He was selling furniture,” said Emelyanov.

“He believes in his industry, he believes in the import. It is more interested in export-import operations than the development of domestic industry. Why he should be in “assistance”?”, concluded spywares.

“We have a negative attitude to this appointment,” – said in turn Deputy head of the LDPR faction Yaroslav Nilov. He called the appointment of Serdyukov as a “spit in the face of society and fashion blow for the defense Ministry and the whole vertical of power”.

The official accusation of negligence to the former defense Minister was charged in December 2013. Guilt is not admitted. Serdyukov faces a sentence not connected with imprisonment. The ex-Minister was granted Amnesty in 2014, and the criminal case against him closed. The main military Prosecutor’s office confirmed that he was pardoned on legal grounds.

On a new appointment was reported in the press service of the Corporation. GC “rostec” unites the enterprises for the production of civil and military industrial products, and electronics. Meanwhile earlier representatives of the Communist party had tried to initiate a parliamentary investigation into Serdyukov. The last time the Communists had insisted on a parliamentary inquiry revealed the causes and conditions that contributed to “the facts of gross violation of financial discipline in the Ministry of defence of the Russian Federation”. According to representatives of the Communist party, the investigation should help to identify persons “in whose interests was carried out the theft in the defense Ministry”.
