Kremlin: Moscow is committed to the promotion of cooperation with Ankara


Moscow hopes that the aspiration to mutually beneficial cooperation with Russia is shared by all political forces of Turkey, also said the President’s press Secretary Dmitry Peskov.

MOSCOW, 2 Nov. Moscow stands for the promotion of cooperation with Ankara hopes that this wish and all political forces in Turkey, including in the Parliament, said the President’s press Secretary Dmitry Peskov.

“We support the continuation of mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation with Turkey, which is multidimensional. We look forward to further joint work on promotion of our partnership in all areas, and we hope that this mutual desire, in fact, shared by all political forces of Turkey, and especially those forces that won the elections,” Peskov said, answering the question of “Turkish stream”.

Early parliamentary elections in Turkey were held on Sunday. According to their results, the ruling Party of justice and development has received an absolute majority in Parliament that enables it to form a single-party government. Also before Parliament are the center-left Republican people’s party (25,3% of the votes and 134 seats), the nationalist national movement Party (11.9% and 40) and Pro-Kurdish Party democracy peoples (10.8 per cent and 59).
