The forecast for grain exports remains about 30 million tons, said agriculture Minister Alexander Tkachev.
SLIDES, 2 Nov. The grain harvest in Russia in 2015 will provide the domestic needs of Russia, said the head of the Ministry Alexander Tkachev.
“Really, the last time we discussed the progress of harvesting, and then harvest forecast was 100 million tons. For October, the September farmers have worked shock and was finally collected, 101 million tons of grain,” — said Tkachev at a meeting of the Prime Minister with Deputy Prime Ministers on Monday.
“This result will allow for domestic consumption at the level of 70 million tons. It is, above all, food is our task, and, of course, to form the forage base in animal husbandry at the level of 39 million tons, and to send food to 20 million to use as seed 11 million tons of grain”, — he added.
Tkachev also said that “the Outlook for the export (grain — ed.) remains of the order of 30 million tons.”
