The main topics of discussion will be the development of Russian-Armenian interregional cooperation in the field of energy, tourism, humanitarian development in the context of Armenia’s accession to the Eurasian economic Union (EEU).
YEREVAN, 3 Nov. Hamlet Matevosyan. Fourth Russian-Armenian forum on interregional cooperation prospects on Tuesday will open at the exhibition complex “Yerevan Expo”, said the press Secretary of the Russian centre of science and culture in Yerevan, Liana Azoyan.
According to her, the forum held a press conference in which will take part the Deputy Minister of economic development Alexander Tsybulsky and the first Deputy Minister of territorial administration and emergency situations Vache Terteryan.
“The main topics for discussion will be the development of Russian-Armenian interregional cooperation in the field of energy, tourism, humanitarian development in the context of Armenia’s accession to the Eurasian economic Union (EEU),” said Azoyan.
She reported that the organizers of the event are the Ministry of economic development of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of territorial administration and emergency situations of Armenia with the support of the Russian center in Yerevan.
“Giving the forum a practical orientation and the orientation of its work to achieve specific results in all of our interests. On this basis, it was agreed that the forthcoming event will be attended by the regions that were presented at the held in 2013 the third forum and already cooperate and have joint projects and signed agreement. This approach will allow to analyze the process of development of decentralized cooperation and to accumulate resources for the deepening,” said Minister of territorial administration and emergency situations Armen Yeritsyan.
The third Russian-Armenian interregional forum “Russia. Armenia. The customs Union” on 2-3 December 2013 was held in Gyumri and Yerevan. Speaking at the opening ceremony, President Serzh Sargsyan said at that time about 70 subjects of the Russian Federation directly collaborated with the provinces.
