MOSCOW, November 3. The Finance Ministry believes it is right to consider making a number of amendments to the law on compulsory insurance of civil liability of carrier and Air code. This was announced by Deputy Finance Minister Alexey Moiseev.
Under the legislation, passengers of the crashed aircraft A321 were insured for 2 million rubles in spao “Ingosstrakh”. The life of each member of the crew was only insured for 100 thousand rubles in the UK “Alliance”. According to the Air code of the Russian Federation, the sum insured for each member of the crew of an aircraft shall not be less than one thousand minimum wages.
Deputy Finance Minister Alexei Moiseev believes the right offer to make the coverage equal for both passengers and crew members. “This is the right proposal. Should consider making appropriate amendments to the law on compulsory insurance of civil liability of carrier and Air code”, – said Moiseev.
“Ingosstrakh” made insurance payment of the first
The company “Ingosstrah” has started to carry out insurance payments to the relatives of those killed in the crash. About this korr. said Director of public relations of the organization Karen Asoyan.
“Today was done 4 interim advance payments in the amount of 100 thousand rubles”, – said the representative of the insurance company. To carry out first payments in “ingosstrahe” planned the day before, however, in view of the submitted requests during the evening, awards were made on Tuesday, the company explained.
In addition, “today was filled with 34 statements, and about 15 calls with requests for procedures received at the call center is as of 13:00 Moscow time,” said Asoyan.
Responsibility of the airline “Kogalymavia” in front of the passengers and the aircraft were insured in “ingosstrahe”. The maximum possible size of insurance payment per passenger, died in the plane crash, is 2 million 48 thousand roubles.
