Putin congratulated Erdogan on his victory of the ruling party in the elections, discussed the situation in Syria

MOSCOW, November 4. The President of Russia Vladimir Putin during a telephone conversation congratulated the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan with the victory of the ruling justice and development held on 1 November extraordinary parliamentary elections, informs today a press-service of the Kremlin.

In turn, the Turkish leader expressed his condolences in connection with the accident the Russian passenger plane in Egypt.

Putin and Erdogan also exchanged views on the situation in Syria in the light of the outcome of the Ministerial meeting of the “support Group” in Vienna on 30 October.

They discussed certain questions of Russian-Turkish cooperation, including preparations for the next meeting of bilateral Council of high level cooperation, to be held in December in Russia. Reaffirmed their readiness to continue political dialogue, further development of mutually beneficial trade and economic cooperation.

Agreed to hold a bilateral meeting at the summit “group of twenty” in Antalya.
