MOSCOW, November 4. The President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin on November 5 will participate in the fifth world Congress of compatriots living abroad, reported November 4, the press service of the Kremlin.
The activities of the Congress is aimed at consolidation of Russian compatriots, protection of their rights and lawful interests, strengthening ties with their historical Homeland, preservation of cultural heritage and the Russian language abroad. The event will be attended by about 400 representatives of Russian communities from 97 countries.
Russian Diaspora is one of the four largest in the world and has about 30 million people.
