Arkhangelsk region took the 38th place in the Russian Federation on innovative development


Arkhangelsk region climbed 17 positions in the Federal rating of innovative development of Russian regions, finishing in 38th place in Russia and fourth among regions of the northwestern Federal district, said the representative of the government of the region.

ARKHANGELSK, 6 Nov. Arkhangelsk region climbed 17 positions in the Federal rating of innovative development of Russian regions, finishing in 38th place in Russia and fourth among regions of the northwestern Federal district, said the representative of the government of the region.

The rating was prepared by the Higher school of Economics jointly with the Institute for statistical studies and Economics of knowledge, Russian cluster Observatory.

“The place of the Arkhangelsk region in the rating of innovative development is largely supported by the implementation of cluster policy in the region. Since 2012, successfully operates a shipbuilding innovative territorial cluster. In addition, actively working on the development of the forestry cluster “Povrenovic”, — quoted a source words of the Minister of economic development and competition policy of the region Viktor Ikonnikov.

At the end of November in the regional government held a meeting with representatives of the Ministry of economic development of the Russian Federation, dedicated to the intermediate results of implementation of cluster policy in the territory of the Arkhangelsk region. In addition, the Northern Arctic Federal University in mid-December will take place the conference devoted to the development of regional clusters.
