The white house: the granting Ukraine credit guarantees depends on the fight against corruption

The United States is ready to provide Ukraine with the third package of loan guarantees totaling $1 billion through the continuation of Kiev in the fight against corruption and compliance with the tax reform program of the International monetary Fund (IMF). About it, according to the press service of the White house, said the Vice-President of the USA Joseph Biden in a telephone conversation with President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko on Thursday.

“Regarding economic reforms, the Vice President reaffirmed U.S. readiness to provide a third package of loan guarantees worth $1 billion, provided that Ukraine continue the search and prosecution of perpetrators of corruption, and compliance with Ukrainian tax reform program of the IMF”.

Biden also “congratulated President Poroshenko on Ukraine held local elections, which became another milestone in the democratic development of the country”. The interlocutors discussed implementation of the Minsk agreements.
