MOSCOW, November 6. Flight tests of trunk liner MS-21 (Yak-242) is scheduled to begin in the summer of 2016, has written to Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin on 6 November on his page in the social network Facebook (“Facebook”).
“2016 is a milestone for the Russian aviation industry. In the summer we plan to begin flight tests of trunk liner MS-21 (Yak-242)”, – Rogozin wrote.
MS-21 (“Mainline aircraft of the XXI century”) is a Russian project short and medium-haul passenger aircraft. Certification and commissioning of the first copies is planned for 2016. Start of serial production is expected in 2017.
