Moscow. On 6 November. The Euro dropped sharply against the ruble, losing over a minute to about 40 cents, against the background of falling of the single currency against the dollar in the Forex market after the release of statistics on the U.S. labour market.
The Euro fell in 16:31 MSK to 68.6-68.8 per ruble, losing over a minute to about 40 cents. The dollar remained in the area of 63.8 per ruble. In another minute, the dollar went up and the Euro has reduced the decrease. 16:37 Moscow time the dollar has taken 64,15 ruble, adding 70 cents to the previous closing and about 35 cents – to the levels before the release of us data; Euro amounted 68,86 ruble, departing at 10 cents to close and about 35 cents – to the levels before 16:30 GMT.
The movement of currencies caused by the data on the growth in the number of jobs in the U.S., significantly exceeding expectations (271 million versus the 185 thousand expected). Against this background, the Euro fell to $1,07-1,075.
Data from the Ministry of labor showed that the unemployment rate in the U.S. in October fell from 5.1% to 5%, by updating the lowest level since April 2008. The indicator has coincided with forecasts of analysts.
