Moscow. November 9. The dollar was slightly changed at the opening of trading on the Moscow exchange on Monday, the Euro loses a little, the ruble varies slightly, supported by a small upward correction of prices of oil.
Bidding on the dollar started transactions in the area 64,45 rubles, then the transactions were mostly higher, in the range of 64.5-64,665 ruble, on average, for fifteen minutes the course was 64.6 cents (+0.2 kopeks to the level of the previous close). The Euro amounted to 69.6 cents (+20 cents). The bi-currency basket amounted to 66,85 roubles (+9 kopeks).
The dollar was at 92 kopecks above the current official rate, Euro to 34 kopecks higher than the official rate. By the end of the day on Friday the dollar rose on the ETS 1.15 ruble, the Euro gained 44 cents.
Minor changes of the ruble against the dollar and the Euro during the trading session is the result of mixed signals from outside markets Monday morning. Oil prices rose slightly after a strong drawdown in the previous days: December futures for Brent crude on London’s ICE Futures exchange at 10:17 Moscow time has risen in price approximately for 0,5%, to $47,74 per barrel. On Friday the price dropped to $0,56 (1,17%), amounting to $47,42 per barrel. Over the past week, Brent lost value of 4.3%.
