Pushkov compared the cartoons of Charlie Hebdo with a cancer cell, where it appeared the Russophobia of the West

MOSCOW, November 10. The Chairman of the Duma Committee on international Affairs Alexei Pushkov has compared the cartoons of French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo at the wreckage of the Russian passenger plane Airbus A321 “Kogalymavia” in the Sinai Peninsula with a cancer cell, in which he manifested all the Russophobia of the West.

“Doctors are well aware that one cancer cell carries information about all of the cancer. And exactly the same cartoons on the deaths of 224 citizens of Russia in the sky over Egypt, published in Charlie Hebdo, carry much more information than it might seem at first glance,” said the MP, speaking from the faction “United Russia” in the beginning of the plenary session of the state Duma.

“They are based on another phenomenon of the modern Western world is the blatant Russophobia, and Russophobia is not only a dislike towards Russians, it is a rejection of our entire nation of Russia itself,” – said Pushkov. He reminded that Charlie Hebdo has positioned itself as a publication that makes cartoons about everything and spares no one. “But it is not – you will not find bullying of the victims of other catastrophes that have occurred in other countries and at other times,” – said the Deputy.

“Charlie Hebdo will not touch them, it’s not customary, but to attack Russia – made and Russian anti-terrorist operation in Syria caused another bout of hatred towards Russia in certain quarters, that Charlie Hebdo and attacks us”, said the head of the Duma Committee.

“We, of course, through official channels report that the expression of freedom of speech. But actually, it’s not freedom of speech, freedom of Russophobia”, – concluded the gun.

Alexei Pushkov said that the cartoons of Charlie Hebdo show that the Russophobia in the West from the mood turns into policy.

“We witness a very important and, in my opinion, a very dangerous phenomenon: the Russophobia of the mood turns to politics,” the MP said.

“From a set of propaganda stamps and emotional attacks, as well as a separate type of provocations to compare the current Russia with the third Reich Russophobia develops in the system the ideological Foundation of the contemporary politics of several countries of the Western Alliance”, – continued the head of the Duma Committee. He drew attention that “in the most blatant form it has become state policy of the Baltic States and now Ukraine is absolutely impossible to deny”.

According to Pushkov, hostile actions against Russia in the capitals of these countries “are already considered as an end in itself, regardless of whether such a policy inflicts damage to those countries.”
