BRASILIA, 10 Nov. The delegation of the Russian Federation Council headed by the speaker Valentina Matvienko will visit Brazil on an official visit, where he will discuss the development of inter-parliamentary ties, economic and cultural cooperation, the press service of the upper chamber.
The program of the visit stipulates negotiations Matvienko with the leadership of Brazil, including Congress. Will hold talks with the chairmen of the Senate Renan Calarosa and the chamber of deputies Eduardo Kunia. As expected, we will focus on the revitalization of the parliamentary friendship groups and specialized committees.
“Russian and Brazilian parliamentarians also discussed the issues of cooperation on international exchanges, inter-parliamentary cooperation both on bilateral relations and BRICS, and prospects of development of relations between Russia and Brazil in trade and economic, humanitarian and cultural spheres”, — said in a release.
Matvienko previously noted that Brazil for Russia is a key strategic partner in Latin America, which built long-term cooperation in various fields. Relations between the two countries have a high degree of credibility and are long term in nature, said the Federation Council speaker.
