The Rosselkhoznadzor is “extremely concerned” by the situation with re-export of mushrooms and radish from Belarus

MOSCOW, November 10. The Rosselkhoznadzor is concerned about the situation related to the deliveries from Belarus uncharacteristic of this country food, and offers to the Belarusian side to discuss the issue. This is stated in the message Rosselkhoznadzor. In particular, the questions of Russian office cause supplies to Russia through the territory of Belarus fruits, mushrooms and radish.

In terms of food embargo Belarus was a major supplier of products not previously shipped to Russia, noted in the Rosselkhoznadzor. A similar trend is observed in the case of vegetables, berries and exotic fruits.

“The operation of the system of phytosanitary control in the Republic has led to the fact that Russia systematically receives Belarusian berries (strawberries, blackberries and raspberries), on morphological and seasonal characteristics having the status of origin from third countries, mushrooms accompanied with forged phytosanitary certificates of Morocco and Turkey and radish origin South Africa – countries that earlier had not exported these products to Russia”, – stated in Department.

The service is “extremely concerned by the developing situation”, stated in a press release. According to Rosselkhoznadzor, during the last few months has dramatically increased the risk of destabilizing the food security of the Russian Federation, connected with the receipt from Belarus disadvantaged in relation to phytosanitary products.

Besides, the Rosselkhoznadzor is not satisfied with the work of existing in Belarus the system to confirm the authenticity of phytosanitary certificates. “Unfortunately, the Belarusian party of the event not bring the desired results”, – said the Agency, noting that in 2014, it was revealed 82 forged phytosanitary certificate, since the beginning of 2015 – 388. The received products to Russia “accompanied by the Belarusian re-export certificates with the application fake phytosanitary certificates, Turkey, Macedonia, Ecuador, Egypt, South Africa, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Morocco, Serbia, Tunisia, Israel, Brazil and Chile are systemic in nature”, reported in the Rosselkhoznadzor.

To save the phytosanitary situation in the territory of the Russian Federation the Rosselkhoznadzor sent a letter to the main state Inspectorate for seed production, quarantine and plant protection of the Ministry of agriculture and food of Belarus with a proposal to hold a meeting at a convenient time for them, summed up in Department.
