About 5 thousand companies said that store personal data of Russians in Russia


MOSCOW, November 10. About 5 thousand companies sent a notification to Roskomnadzor that store personal data of Russians in Russia, told reporters Deputy head of Department Antonina].

“At the moment applied about 5 thousand operators, including identified three violation. Them initiated administrative proceedings under article 13.11 (article “Violation of the legally established procedure of collection, storage, use, or dissemination of information about citizens (personal data) of the code of administrative offenses – a comment)”, she said.

Since the entry into force of the law on storage of personal data 5399 companies reported placing their databases on the territory of the Russian Federation, specified in the presentation Department.

The law on storage of personal data, which entered into force on 1 September 2015, require companies to store and process the personal data of Russian citizens on the territory of Russia. Part of international companies, such as eBay and AliExpress, has previously stated that compliance with the new law.

Until the end of 2015, Roskomnadzor will inspect about 300 companies in accordance with the approved plan. In 2016 the number of inspections will be more. The audit plan, the office will publish in December.
