Medvedev will participate in the East Asian summit in Malaysia and will visit Cambodia

MOSCOW, November 10. Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev on November 21-24 to take part in the East Asian summit in Malaysia and will visit with working visit the Kingdom of Cambodia. According to the press service of the Cabinet.

“On November 21-22, the Prime Minister will participate in the tenth East Asian summit (EAS) in Kuala Lumpur”, – noted in press service. “In the framework of this meeting, the heads of state and government of countries-participants of the forum will discuss issues of ensuring security and sustainable economic growth in the Asia-Pacific region, will review the progress of development and prospects of cooperation in such priority areas as energy, Finance, health care, emergency response, interrelatedness,” added the government.

“Following the discussions it is planned to adopt the statement of the Chairman of the summit, the Kuala Lumpur Declaration on the occasion of the decade and the number of documents on regional and international issues,” – said in the Cabinet.

Dmitry Medvedev will also hold bilateral meetings with heads of delegations.

“On 23-24 November, the Prime Minister will pay a working visit to the Kingdom of Cambodia”, – have informed in a press-service. “In Phnom Penh the Prime Minister will hold talks with Prime Minister Hun Sen, as well as meetings with the king of Cambodia Norodom Sihamoni and leaders of both houses of the Cambodian Parliament”, – noted in the Cabinet.

“It is planned to discuss key issues of bilateral relations, with emphasis on the promotion of trade-economic and investment cooperation, expansion of cooperation in the fields of education, culture and tourism”, – said the press service.

The Russian Cabinet expected that following the results of negotiations will be signed intergovernmental and interdepartmental documents on cooperation in various fields.
