MOSCOW, November 12. Russian diplomats employ all legal ways to return to the Russian Federation Konstantin Yaroshenko, who is serving a prison sentence in the USA. This question has prospects, said on air of TV channel “Russia 24” Deputy foreign Minister of the Russian Federation on issues of human rights, democracy and rule of law Konstantin Dolgov.
“All the legal ways that exist, they, believe, us will be involved, he said. – We hope that the prospect (the return of Yaroshenko to their homeland) is, and it will be positive, but I would not get ahead of ourselves”.
The Commissioner noted that Russian consular officials are in constant contact with himself as Yaroshenko and his lawyers.
“Information is very disturbing: he, apparently, exacerbated many chronic diseases, most of them he bought, already being under examination in an American prison,” – said Dolgov.
However, he said that Yaroshenko is “in jail on a completely politicized verdict”.
Earlier it was reported that the Commissioner of the Russian foreign Ministry made a representation to the adviser-envoy of Embassy of the USA in Moscow by Lynn Tracy in connection with information about a sharp deterioration in the health of Yaroshenko, who is serving a sentence in Federal prison Fort Dix in the USA.
Yaroshenko was convicted on 7 September 2011. In the U.S. he was taken from Liberia, where he was arrested on may 28, 2010. Worked under cover agents of the Federal Directorate for combating drug trafficking allegedly caught him in criminal intent on the transportation of large quantities of cocaine.
