Mosobldumu abolished direct elections of heads of Podolsk, Mytishchi and Kashira


MOSCOW, November 12. Moscow regional Duma adopted in final reading the bill on which the heads of urban districts Yegoryevsk, Kashira, Mytishi, Podolsk, Silver Ponds and Shakhovskaya will be elected by the representative body on the basis of competition. About this informed the head of the Main Department of territorial policy of the Moscow region Alexander Kostomarov.

“The draft law defines the procedure of election of heads of municipal districts of Yegoryevsk, Kashira, Mytishi, Podolsk, Silver Ponds and Shakhovskaya, whereby they are elected by the representative body of the municipal entity of the Moscow region from among candidates presented by the competitive Commission by results of competition, and are headed by local administration”, – he noted.

The bill sparked a debate among MPs. However, “for” 28 deputies voted, and only 13 against. The bill is due to conversion of data of municipalities.

Kostomarov added, that the same order of election of heads offered for the bill of the Krasnogorsk area and city settlement Vidnoye, Lenin Hills, rural settlements Bulatnikovsky, Volodarskoye, Molokovsky, Ruzveltova, the Lenin state Farm of Lenin district.
