Moscow. November 12. Russia expects to increase trade with Iran from $1.6 billion to $10 billion, announced by energy Minister Alexander Novak reporters following a meeting of the Russian-Iranian intergovernmental Commission.
According to him, the turnover between Russia and Iran in the short term could grow to $10 billion from the current $1.6 billion through energy cooperation, Assembly and delivery of vehicles, agricultural products, and development communication.
“Iran is an important and strategic partner. Develop high level political, economic and humanitarian relations. Our turnover does not fully reflect the potential for cooperation. The meeting aimed at establishing a mechanism of cooperation in all sectors. Developed solutions that will form the basis for expansion of cooperation and increase turnover. Discussed concrete projects”, – said the Minister.
In turn, the Minister of communications and information technology of Iran Mahmoud Vaezi said “Iran expects next year our trade and economic relations will grow significantly”.
