SAR: insurers intend to double the share of the Euro Protocol in Moscow


In October the share of the accident, issued by European accident report, was 21.42%, said the Executive Director of the Russian Union of motor insurers (RAMI) Evgenie Ufimtsev. He noted that insurers are to increase the share of the European accident report within three to four months up to 40-50%.

MOSCOW, 12 Nov. Russian insurers intend during three-four months at least twice to increase the penetration rate of the Euro Protocol in Moscow and the Moscow region, told journalists on Thursday the Executive Director of the Russian Union of motor insurers (RAMI) Evgenie Ufimtsev.

“In October the share of the accident, issued by European accident report, was 21.42%…. Insurers like seriously intend to share of the Euro Protocol in Moscow and the Moscow region, is the key region, to increase for three to four months up to 40-50%. It will be a good indicator,” said Ufimtsev.

The European accident report is adopted in European countries a system that allows to legalise papers about road accident under the simplified scheme, without the involvement of the police, with the purpose of obtaining insurance payments.
