The U.S. Embassy in Moscow made the presentation because of deterioration of health Yaroshenko


MOSCOW, November 12. The U.S. Embassy in Moscow made a representation in connection with deterioration of health of Russian pilot Konstantin Yaroshenko, who is in an American prison “Fort Dix”. It was stated by Commissioner of the Russian foreign Ministry on human rights Konstantin Dolgov in his Twitter.

“Made a submission to the US Embassy in Moscow in connection with information about a serious deterioration of health Yaroshenko, wrote the diplomat. We stressed the inadmissibility of blocking the prison administration carrying out medical examination of Konstantin Yaroshenko with the participation of the doctor of the Russian Embassy in the United States.”

According to Dolgov, “Yaroshenko question is of an urgent humanitarian nature”. “Demanded the intervention of the U.S. state Department and the effect on the administration of the prison “Fort Dix”, – he stressed. – We will continue to seek a medical examination and comprehensive treatment of Yaroshenko”.

Konstantin Yaroshenko was convicted on 7 September 2011. In the U.S. he was taken from Liberia, where he was arrested on may 28, 2010. Worked under cover agents of the Federal Directorate for combating drug trafficking allegedly caught him in criminal intent on the transportation of large quantities of cocaine. It was the first time when American intelligence agencies have seized on the territory of a third country who is a Russian citizen and secretly brought to the United States.
