Putin: “Turkish stream” does not lose momentum, but requires careful consideration


MOSCOW, November 13. “Turkish stream” does not lose momentum, the project is consistent with the interests of the Russian Federation and Turkey, but requires careful consideration. This was announced by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin in interview to news agencies “Interfax” and “Anadolu”.

“I cannot agree that “Turkish stream” is losing momentum. Such an ambitious project cannot be worked out and agreed in overnight,” the President said. He noted that in “too many legal, technical and economic, technological, and organizational issues, including the number of pipelines taking into account real needs in terms of procurement and pumping gas, to solve together with our Turkish colleagues.”

“The better we work, the faster, with less risk and the cost of resources will achieve our goals, to ensure the uninterrupted delivery of Russian gas directly to Turkish consumers. Importantly, this project fully meets the interests of Russia and Turkey. We are in this together with my Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan,” – said Putin.
