Matvienko: the Federation Council on Wednesday will consider an appeal to the parliaments of the world about terrorism


MOSCOW, November 14. The Chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko said that the house on Wednesday will consider an appeal to the parliaments of the world with a proposal to jointly contribute to the fight against terrorism.

“We want Wednesday to make a statement of the Council of Federation, an appeal to all parliaments of the world, so that they too contributed to the unification of efforts in the fight against terrorism,” – said Matvienko reporters after visiting the French Embassy in Russia.

Matvienko has proposed to UN to develop measures against terrorism-supporting countries and people.

“I think we need to drop the mask and openly talk about those countries, about the people that financially support terrorism, which his arm. Need within the framework of the United Nations to adopt very stringent measures to punish those who do it”, – told reporters the Federation Council speaker today after a visit to the Embassy of the French Republic in Moscow.

The Federation Council speaker laid flowers in front of the Embassy to commemorate the victims of the attacks in Paris.
